Williams opened its season last weekend with three matches over two days, with a 7-2 loss to No. 5 Stanford, a 9-0 loss to No. 8 Cornell and a 9-0 win over No. 28 Hamilton. Hesham Aly, a former Princeton women's assistant coach, leads the Ephs.
Princeton holds a 34-2 all-time record against Williams and has won 20 straight over the Ephs since Williams' last win the series in a match held at Yale in the 2002-03 season. Princeton is 16-1 all-time against the Ephs in Williamstown and has won 16 straight since the Ephs' lone home win over Princeton, during the 1975-76 season. The teams last met on Dec. 2, 2023 in Jadwin Gym in a 9-0 Tiger win that saw current Tigers Zeina Zein, Emma Trauber, Charlotte Bell, Liyen Teoh, Molly Chadwick, Sonya Sasson and Katherine Sapinski contribute wins. This will be Princeton's first visit to Williamstown since Dec. 1, 2018.
After first-semester final exams and the holiday break, the Tigers will have a run of three matches in four days in the team's new facility in Princeton's Meadows neighborhood, opening Ivy League play on Jan. 11 by hosting Yale before a Jan. 12 visit from preseason No. 2 Trinity and a Jan. 14 visit from Amherst.
