Men's Track & Field Finishes Day at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - At the Princeton Invitational held this afternoon in Jadwin Gym, the Princeton men's track and field team showcased an impressive performance across various events.
In the weight throw, Paul Brennan secured second place with a distance of 19.02 meters (62 feet 5.0 inches), while Avery Shunneson claimed third place with a throw of 18.66 meters (61 feet 2.75 inches).
Mike Dallal excelled in the long jump, clinching the top spot with a jump of 6.82 meters (22 feet 4.50 inches).
Tyler Konopka dominated the shot put event, earning first place with a throw of 18.26 meters (59 feet 11 inches). This mark places him 9th all time in the Princeton indoor record book. He was closely followed by Casey Helm in second place with a throw of 17.38 meters (56 feet 0.25 inches), and Joe Licata in third place with 17.09 meters (56 feet 1 inch).
In the pole vault, Nick Molloy soared to victory, clearing a height of 4.70 meters (15 feet 5 inches), while Philip Kastner secured second place with a vault of 4.60 meters (15 feet 1 inch).
John Hogan displayed his prowess in the high jump, claiming first place with a height of 1.95 meters (6 feet 4.75 inches) while Richard Lawson dominated the triple jump, securing first place with a distance of 14.43 meters (47 feet 4.25 inches).
Philip Kastner showcased his speed and agility in the 60m hurdles, finishing in first place with a time of 8.08 seconds, while Mike Dallal followed closely behind in second place with a time of 8.75 seconds.
Overall, the Princeton men's track and field team demonstrated outstanding performances across multiple events, highlighting their strength and skill in various disciplines. The Tigers will travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts next week to compete in the 2024 Ivy Indoor Track and Field Heptagonal Championships.
