PRINCETON, NJ - The men's track and field team is set to travel to the 2024 Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Harvard from Saturday, February 23rd to Sunday 24th.
At last year's Ivy Indoor Heps, the Tigers claimed their eighth consecutive Ivy Indoor title. The Tiger men scored 164 points to take the 2023 title at a championship meet that came down to the very last event -- Princeton's second-pace finish in the 4x400 relay providing enough points for the Tigers to outlast Harvard by one point.
The Tigers currently have five athletes ranked first in the Ivy League indoor standings in their respective events. Two Princeton freshman sprinters lead the Ivy League in their respective events - Freshman Zach Della Rocca leads in the 60m with a time of 6.74 seconds (Princeton 6th All-Time) from the Penn State National Open while Jackson Clarke is first in the 200m with a time of 21.09 seconds (Princeton 3rd All-Time) from the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational. The quartet of Donaldson, Clarke, Della Rocca, and Dimon are first in the Ivy League in the 4x400 relay event with a time of 3:09.90 (Princeton 2nd All-Time) from the Penn State National Open. Greg Foster's mark of 7.71m (25-3.5) from the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational is first in the Ivy League's long jump standings. Finally, Joe Licata ranks first in the shot put off of his TCNJ Indoor Open throw of 18.33, (60-1.75) (Princeton 6th All-Time).
