Baseball Is Taken Down By No. 16 North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL – The Princeton Baseball Team dropped a 13-6 decision to the No. 16 North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers began the scoring with a RBI double by Nick DiPietrantonio in the first inning. The Tar Heels retook the lead in their next at bat on a wild pitch.
North Carolina's Luke Stevenson hit a three-run home run in the fourth stanza. The home team added three runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings along with two more tallies in the seventh.
Jake Koonin brought in Kyle Vinci in the sixth inning while Koonin and Jordan Kelly later scored on errors.
Kelly also had a two-run single in the seventh stanza. He along with Matt Scannell had two hits in the loss.
Princeton will head back on the road next weekend to take on Navy (Mar. 9-10).
