DiPietrantonio's Walk-off Double Helps Baseball Earn Doubleheader Split

Harvard 3, Princeton 2
The Crimson's Chris Snopek's two-run home run in the top of the second inning started the scoring.
In the third, DiPietrantonio started an impressive 5-4-3 double play to prevent another Harvard threat.

A throwing error gave Harvard its third run in the top of the fourth stanza. Princeton got a runner in scoring position in the fourth and fifth frames but couldn't push across a run.
Princeton got the first two runners on in the bottom of the eighth, but three strikeouts ended the inning.
Jake Koonin's blasted a home run in the home half of the ninth, but the Tigers couldn't get another rally together.

Princeton 5, Harvard 4
William Lybrook began the game with an RBI single in Harvard's first at-bat. DiPietrantonio quickly countered with a run-scoring double that allowed Matt Scannell to touch home in the bottom of the first.
A wild pitch gave Harvard a 2-1 lead in the second inning. In the third, Kyle Vinci singled in Scannell, tying the game at 2-all.
An RBI groundout put the Crimson back on top in the fourth. Two wild pitches tied the game and then put Princeton ahead of the Ivy matchup one half stanza later.
With two outs in the ninth, Harvard's Ben Rounds hit a game-tying home run before DiPietrantonio walked it off in the bottom of the frame.
Elliot Eaton and Andrew D'Alessio combined to strike out 12 Harvard hitters. D'Alessio retired 10 straight hitters during his outing and gave up just four hits to collect the win.FINAL: Princeton 5, Harvard 4

DiPietrantonio had three hits to cap off the victory for Princeton.
The Tigers and Crimson finish the series on Sunday. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
