Baseball Takes Series Victory With 4-2 Win over Brown

Providence, R.I. - The Princeton Baseball team earned a 4-2 victory against the Brown Bears on Sunday afternoon to take the series win.
The Tigers opened the scoring in the first inning with a two-RBI double off the bat of Jake Koonin.
The Bears proceeded to cut the deficit in half with a Nathan Brasher RBI single in the bottom half of the first. In the second stanza, Mika Petersen delivered a sacrifice bunt to tie the game at two.
Jake Bold broke through with an RBI triple in the eighth, scoring Matt Scannell to put the Tigers ahead 3-2. Princeton would add an insurance run on a Tommy Googins run-scoring double in the ninth.
Sean Episcope threw six innings, allowing two runs while tying his career high in strikeouts with seven. Jacob Faulkner would earn the win for the Tigers, surrendering only one hit in three innings of work.
Princeton will battle Monmouth on Wednesday at Clarke Field. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
