Baseball vs. Monmouth Moved To Tuesday at 3 PM

PRINCETON – The Princeton Baseball Team's contest vs. Monmouth Hawks scheduled for Wednesday, April 10th has now been moved to Tuesday, April 9th. First pitch is still set for 3 p.m.
The Tigers are 9-16 this season and 5-4 in the Ivy League after taking two of three from the Brown Bears over the weekend. Jake Bold has been the team's best hitter at .322 while producing an impressive .473 on-base percentage and .506 slugging percentage. Jake Koonin leads the team with 28 RBI and a .528 slugging percentage and is tied for the Tigers' lead in stolen bases with five. Caden Shapiro, Nick DiPietrantonio and Kyle Vinci have four home runs each to pace the offense.
Jacob Faulkner has been outstanding out of the bullpen for the Tigers, producing a 3.27 ERA in 12 outings, striking out 26 in 33 innings. Justin Kim (4.66 ERA) and Sean Episcope (7.03 ERA) have gone at least six innings in each of their last four starts. Episcope's 36 strikeouts in 32 innings leads the team.
Monmouth is 8-17 in 2024 with victories over Penn State, UMBC, George Mason, St. Joe's, Towson and William and Mary. The Hawks have four players hitting over .300 in Phil Stahl (.372), Casey Caufield (.320), Eric Sabato (.310) and Harry Padden (.304). Drew Helmstetter has been the best starter for Monmouth with a 3.74 ERA in 45 2/3 innings.
