No. 3 Women's Crew Welcomes No. 11 Penn Saturday

PRINCETON – The No. 3 Princeton Women's Rowing Team hosts the No. 11 Penn Quakers on Lake Carnegie.
Princeton has not lost to Penn in the regular season since 1981. The Tigers will honor the Class of 2024 after the race on Saturday.
The Tigers' 1V's 6:05.2 was 15.2 seconds clear of the field to collect the Hewitt-Dauphiny Cup last week over Columbia, Northeastern and Notre Dame.
Last week, the Tigers' B4 started with a 7:19.0, 10.9 seconds in front of Columbia (7:29.9). Princeton's 3V crossed the line at 6:35.6 while Northeastern was second (6:52.0) and Columbia was third (6:56.8).
Princeton's Varsity Four continued the winning ways for the home team with a 7:11.6, 11.2 seconds faster than Notre Dame (7:22.8). The 2V nabbed a 6:20.1, over 15.6 seconds quicker than Columbia (6:35.7).
The Tigers' 1V's 6:05.2 was 15.2 seconds clear of the field to finish off the racing on Lake Carnegie and collect the Hewitt-Dauphiny Cup.
Last week was an exciting step forward for the program, taking away wins in every event," said Sara Covin. "We know that Penn will race fast this weekend, and we have worked to improve upon our racing from last week. We look forward to celebrating our seniors on Saturday for their last home race on Carnegie!"
Princeton's 1V has earned victories over Brown, Harvard, Cornell, Rutgers, USC, Yale, Columbia, Northeastern and Notre Dame all by at least 3.2 seconds.
The Tigers had three alumnae named to the U.S. Rowing Olympic Team in Claire Collins '19, Emily Kallfelz '19 and Kesley Reelick '14. They will race in either the four or eight boats.
