Kareem Maddox ’11 Represents Team USA In 3x3 Basketball at Olympics

PARIS – Princeton University men's basketball team alumnus Kareem Maddox '11 represented Team USA in 3x3 Basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Team USA played seven games total in pool play.
Game One (July 30) – Serbia 22 def. USA 14
Box Score
Team USA fell in its opening game to Serbia, 22-14. Despite the loss, Maddox led Team USA in scoring with six points as he went 4-for-5 on one-point shots and 1-for-2 on two-pointers.
Game Two (July 31) – Poland 19 def. USA 17

After almost pulling off the comeback, Team USA narrowly dropped its second contest of the Olympics to Poland. Maddox added two points and one rebound.
Game Three (August 1) – Lithuania 20 def. USA 18

Despite an injury to Jimmer Fredette forcing Team USA to play with three players to Lithuania's four, Team USA fell just short, 20-18. Maddox went 5-for-6 on one-point shots to score five points and pulled down six rebounds.
Game Four (August 1) – Latvia 21 def. USA 19

Team USA fell to Latvia in a heartbreaker, 21-19 in a contest where the Americans led by as many as six points. Maddox contributed three points along with a team-high five rebounds.
Game Five (August 2) – USA 21 def. France 19

With help from three points and two rebounds from Maddox, Team USA earned its first victory of the Olympic as it took down host nation France, 21-19.
Game Six (August 2) – USA 21 def. China 17

Maddox dominated the boards, pulling down a game-high 10, to go with four points, as Team USA won its second-straight contest with a 21-17 victory over China.
