Men’s Basketball Announces 2024-25 Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's basketball team will aim to win its fourth-straight Ivy League Championship and return to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25, as Franklin C. Cappon-Edward C. Green '40 Head Coach Mitch Henderson announced the Tigers' schedule Monday.
Princeton's 2024-25 schedule is highlighted by 13 games inside Jadwin Gymnasium and up to seven non-conference contests against opponents who saw postseason action in 2023-24. The Tigers will also face Rutgers inside the Prudential Center and Duquesne in the 2024 Deborah Heart and Lung Center Jersey Jam. Additionally, Princeton will be one of eight teams playing in the Myrtle Beach Invitational. All three Myrtle Beach Invitational games will be presented across the ESPN platforms.
The Tigers' season opens at home on Nov. 4 against Iona then continues against Duquesne, a program that made it the round of 32 at the 2024 NCAA Tournament, in the 2024 Deborah Heart and Lung Center Jersey Jam at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey, on Nov. 8. Northeastern follows on Nov. 10, as the Tigers make the trip up to Boston, Massachusetts, to face the Huskies for the third-straight season.
Loyola Chicago, who played in the 2024 NIT, is Princeton's next opponent as the Tigers host the Ramblers on Nov. 15, before heading to North Andover, Massachusetts, for a game against Merrimack on Nov. 17 in what will be the first ever meeting between the two programs.
The Myrtle Beach Classic, taking place inside the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina, features games played on Nov. 21, Nov. 22 and Nov. 24. Bradley and South Florida, who both played in the NIT in 2024, along with Middle Tennessee, Ohio, Portland, Texas State and Wright State join the Tigers in Conway, South Carolina.
On Nov. 27, Princeton will host Nazareth then return to Hagan Arena for the second season in a row to face Saint Joseph's, also an NIT team in 2024. The Tigers will also play Furman for the second-straight season, this time in Greenville, South Carolina, on Dec. 7. Local opponent Monmouth come to Jadwin Gymnasium on Dec. 10, then the Tigers face the Scarlet Knights in Newark, New Jersey, on Dec. 21. The Tigers' final game of 2024 is on Dec. 30 at home against Akron, an NCAA Tournament team in 2024. Non-conference play wraps up against Kean in Jadwin on Jan. 4.
Ivy League play opens on the road on Jan. 11 against Harvard followed by another road contest against Dartmouth on Jan. 18. Four-consecutive home games follow, with the Tigers hosting Columbia on Jan. 20, Cornell on Jan. 25, Yale on Jan. 31 and Brown on Feb. 1.
The Tigers take on the University of Pennsylvania inside the Palestra on Feb. 7, Brown inside the Pizzitola Sports Center on Feb. 14 and Yale inside the John J. Lee Amphitheatre on Feb. 15.
A pair of home games against Harvard on Feb. 21 and Dartmouth on Feb. 22 are up next before the Tigers venture back out onto the road for games at Columbia on Feb. 28 and Cornell on Mar. 1. Regular season play ends at home against Penn on Mar. 8.
Postseason play begins in Providence, Rhode Island, with the Ivy League Tournament on Mar. 15-16.
