PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton women's track and field program will begin the new year with a dual meet with Navy on Saturday, January 11th on the road in Annapolis, Md.
Princeton opened the indoor season with the Rutgers Holiday Classic on December 6th at the Armory in New York City.
Jazmyn Singh, in her collegiate debut, set a new program record in the 300m, running a blazing 39.04 to earn her second place at the meet.
Shantell Kwofie also won the shot put with a new personal best of 14.99m, which currently ranks 24th nationally on the D1 NCAA Qualifying list.
On the same weekend, Mena Scatchard represented Princeton individually at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danvile Season Opener in Boston. Scatchard ran a time of 9:00.86 for a new personal best and a 15th place finish at the meet, also setting a new program record. Her time is also the fourth-fastest indoor 3000m performance in the history of the Ivy League.
Scatchard currently ranks 10th nationally in the 3000m on the D1 NCAA Qualifying list.
Princeton is coming off an Ivy Cross Country Championship title win in November, the program's 10th all-time and first since 2015.
During last year's indoor season, the Tigers took second place at Ivy Heps with a total of 134 points from four individual Ivy championships, one relay championship, and four new school records.
A Princeton team of Olivia Martin, Maddie Cramer, Hannah Riggins, and Mena Scatchard dominated the 4x800m relay with their first place finish of 8:40.51, which set a new Ivy record.
Scatchard dominated the 1000m event, claiming first place with a new school record and meet record time of 2:43.23, setting a new program record.
Tessa Mudd finished first place in the pole vault and broke the Ivy League record with a PR jump of 4.39m (14'4.25). Georgina Scoot took first in the long jump with a mark of 6.28m (20'7.25), also winning the triple jump with a new personal best mark of 13.03m (42'9).
All of the 2024 Heps champions return for the 2024-25 season, with the addition of 15 new Tigers including Alysa Carrigan, Kamiel Crane, Emma De Jong, Layla Giordano, Brooke Jackson, Giselle Kirchner, Mirtel Klaar, Finia Kretschmann, Sofia Lieberman, Meg Madison, Jazmyn Singh, Jana Ter Wee, Margaret Thompson, Fleur Todd-Warmoth, and Khushi Umesh.
Michelle Eisenreich is in her ninth season as head coach, joining the program in 2016. She has coached eight Tigers to All-America honors along with over 30 individual Ivy titles and multiple NCAA appearances.

Note for Traveling Fans
- Vehicular access to the Naval Academy is limited to those drivers with a Department of Defense identification card.
- All other visitors must either park outside of the Naval Academy grounds and walk through the security gates at Gate 1 or take the complimentary shuttles from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (550 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis, Md., 21401).
- The shuttles will run from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Enter the blue/west parking lot through gate 5 off of Taylor Avenue.
- The cost of parking is $10.
- Visitors 18 years and older must present a government-issued identification card (driver's license / passport) to gain access to the Academy grounds, while visitors 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Spectators please note that the Naval Academy and NSA Annapolis are currently under increased force protection measures. If you plan on accessing the Yard for sporting events and you do not have a Department of Defense ID to drive on to Academy grounds, you are encouraged to ride the shuttle bus.
