Princeton Dominates Dual with Navy, 104-75

ANNAPOLIS, MD. — With 10 Tigers winning individual events and two Tiger squads winning the relays, Princeton won its dual meet with Navy on Saturday in Annapolis with a final score of 104-75.
Harrison Witt set a Wesley A. Brown Field house record in the 1000m, running 2:19.93 to break the previous record of 2:22.58 set by Navy's Ashwin Briggs in 2021.
Joe Licata set a new personal best in the shot put with a mark of 19.18m to take first place in the event.
In the long jump, Greg Foster had a mark of 7.83 for a program all-time second-best and a first place finish in the event.
The Tiger sprinters had strong performances on the day, as Jackson Clarke ran a blazing 6.82 to take first in the 60m while Xavier Donaldson won the 400m with a time of 47.56. Jonathan York also won the 500m with a time of 1:03.39.
In the 800m, Sam Rodman ran 1.52.72 to take first place in the event.
Easton tan won the 60m hurdles with a blazing time of 8.03, bumping him into the program's all-time top 10.
Rounding out the field events, Lorenzo Cagliero won the triple jump with a mark of 13.54m, and Avery Shunneson took first in the weight throw with a mark of 18.54.
Princeton swept the relays, with a squad of Joey Gant, Clarke, Karl Dietz and Donaldson running a hot 3:13.30.
Likewise, in the 4x800, Collin Boler, Connor McCormick, Witt and Rodman ran a final time of 7:35.58 for first.
