Men's Track and Field Breaks Records at Penn 10 Elite

PRINCETON, N.J. – Harrison Witt and Connor McCormick broke the Ivy League record in the mile, Sam Rodman ran an NCAA top-10 800m and Princeton crushed the 4x400 relay as the Tigers competed in the Penn 10 Elite on Saturday in Philadelphia.
Witt ran a 3:56.12 mile, setting a new Princeton record and a new league record while breaking the previous record of 3:56.63 set by Harvard's Graham Blanks in 2023. His time is currently ranked 15th nationally.
Less than a second behind Witt was McCormick, who clocked in at 3:56.47, also breaking the previous league and Princeton records. He comes in at 18th on the current NCAA list.
In the 4x400, the Tigers stunned as Joey Gant, Karl Dietz, Jackson Clarke and Xavier Donaldson ran a time of 3:08.14. Donaldson ran a fast anchor leg of 45.99 to help Princeton to a rank of 11th nationally. Their time also set a new Princeton record, breaking the previous record of 3:09.35, set in 2011 by Eddy '11, Hopkins '14, Dinkins '13 and Hollimon '12.
Rodman took first place in the 800m with a time of 1:48.91, earning him the tenth spot on the NCAA qualifying list with his best time in the event so far this season.
Jacob Nenow set a new personal record in the 3000m, running 7:56.79 to come in at 34th nationally.
First-year Jadon Spain ran a quick 6.79 in the 60m dash, with Greg Foster just behind him at 6.83 to take fifth and sixth respectively. Easton Tan ran the 60m hurdles in 7.97 for fourth place.
Joe Licata and Casey Helm took first and second place in the shot put, throwing 18.87m and 18.37m, respectively.
Avery Shunneson also set a new personal-best in the weight throw with a mark of 19.81m.
Princeton will continue building towards the postseason, next taking the track on February 8th with another visit to UPenn for the Penn Collegiate Invitational.
