PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's track and field team is set for a slate of competitions on the road this weekend. The bulk of the squad will be visiting neighbors UPenn in Philadelphia for the Penn Classic on Saturday, February 8th.

On Friday, February 7th, the Tiger throwers will also begin competition down in Virginia Beach with the East Coast Invitational, continuing with the event on Saturday.
Additionally, Greg Foster was invited to compete in the prestigious Millrose Games in the 60m hurdles.Â

Last Time Out
- The Tigers last competed at the Penn 10 Elite on January 25th, again in Philadelphia.
- Harrison Witt ran a 3:56.12 mile, setting a new Princeton record and a new Ivy league record while breaking the previous record of 3:56.63 set by Harvard's Graham Blanks in 2023. His time is currently ranked 32nd nationally.Â
- Less than a second behind Witt was Connor McCormick, who clocked in at 3:56.47, also under the previous league and Princeton records. He comes in at 35th on the current NCAA list.Â
- In the 4x400, the Tigers stunned as Joey Gant, Karl Dietz, Jackson Clarke and Xavier Donaldson ran a time of 3:08.14. Donaldson ran a fast anchor leg of 45.99 to help Princeton to a new rank of then-11th nationally. Their time also set a new Princeton record, breaking the previous record of 3:09.35, set in 2011 by Eddy '11, Hopkins '14, Dinkins '13 and Hollimon '12.
- Rodman took first place in the 800m with a time of 1:48.91, earning him a new then-tenth spot on the NCAA qualifying list with his best time in the event so far this season.
Tigers on the NCAA Qualifying List
- Greg Foster currently ranks 6th nationally in the long jump with a mark of 7.83m/25' 8.25", set at the Navy Dual on January 11th.
- Philip Kastner is at 13th in the heptathlon with a score of 5672, set at the Quaker Invitational on January 18th.
- Joe Licata sits on the line at 16th in the shot put after throwing 19.18m/62' 11.25" at the Navy Dual. Casey Helm is behind him at 45th with a mark of 18.37m/60' 3.25", set at the Penn 10 Elite.
- The Gant, Dietz, Clarke, Donaldson 4x400 performance is now ranked 23rd nationally.
- Witt and McCormick are at 32nd and 35th in the mile, while Rodman is now 39th in the 800m.
- Two Tiger DMR squads sit at 47th and 48th, respectively, with times of 10:08.06Â (Steven Hergenrother, Karl Dietz, Franco Parra Ramon, Rodman) and 10:08.22 (Witt, Joey Gant, Vijay Krishnamoorthi, Alex Niemiec). Both groups set their times at the Rutgers Holiday Classic in December.
- Princeton was ranked 2nd in the Mid-Atlantic and first in the Ivy League in the latest USTFCCCA Regional Polls, behind only Penn State.Â
- Head Coach Jason Vigilante is in his second season at the helm of the program and 13th season overall at Princeton. The 2023-24 Ivy Coach of the Year, who also picked up Coaching Staff of the Year honors during the cross country season this fall, will look to coach the Tigers to their sixth Triple Crown during his tenure.Â
- The Tigers are also joined by new assistant coaches Marshall Faurot and Duke Taylor, who specialize in jumps, multis and throws.
