Princeton is coming off the CSA individual championships in which four Tigers entered the Ramsay Cup draw and saw Zeina Zein win the national championship to become the first Tiger since 2001 to do so. She's the sixth Princeton woman to win a national title, and with several multi-time winners in the group, Zein's title was Princeton's 12th. Emma Trauber made the round of 16 while Molly Chadwick and Charlotte Bell competed, falling in the first round. Dartmouth had Maria Clara Ramirez Velasquez in the Ramsay Cup, taking a first-round defeat, and Harvard had four players in the draw, with Caroline Fouts making the quarterfinals before exiting on a default, defending champion Saran Nghiem also making the quarters before losing to Zein, Lucie Stefanoni making the round of 16, and Habeeba Eldefrawy taking a first-round loss.
Dartmouth enters the weekend at 2-7 overall and 0-4 in the Ivy. The Big Green will be looking to snap a six-match win streak since its last win on Dec. 6 vs. Amherst. Princeton has won 23 straight against Dartmouth since the Big Green's last win over Princeton in the Howe Cup fifth-place match in 2003. Princeton has won 18 straight in Hanover since the Big Green's last home win over Princeton in the 1986-87 season.
Harvard enters the weekend at 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the Ivy. The team has won two straight since the team's lone loss of the season, 5-4 to Trinity on Jan. 17. The Tigers defeated Trinity 5-4 just five days earlier, with both matches on the road for the Bantams. Harvard will host Penn on Saturday before welcoming the Tigers. Princeton's win in last year's Howe Cup semifinals broke a 14-match Crimson win streak over the Tigers since Princeton's next-most recent win, in the 2012-13 season. Princeton last won back-to-back matches over Harvard during the 2008-09 season. Harvard has won seven straight over Princeton at home since the Tigers' last win in Cambridge, during the 2007-08 season.
Princeton, Penn and Harvard enter the weekend unbeaten in the Ivy. Following the weekend, Princeton will have the chance to take on No. 4 Penn on Feb. 9 in Philadelphia two days after hosting No. 5 Stanford at the racquet center in Princeton's Meadows Neighborhood.
