Men's Basketball Earns 100-59 Victory Over John Jay

PRINCETON, N.J. – Three double figure scorers powered the Princeton University men's basketball team to a 100-59 victory over John Jay inside Jadwin Gymnasium Thursday night.
The Tigers won by 30 points or more for the first time since Nov. 11, 2024, when Princeton downed Nazareth 99-63.
With 17:32 on the clock a three-pointer by Davis ignited a 9-0 run that put the Tigers up, 13-2, with 15:32 remaining in the half. A layup by junior Jaocb Huggins extended Princeton's advantage to 12, 22-10, at 11:50.
A second Davis three-pointer, with 9:47 left in the half, sparked an 8-0 run that put Princeton ahead, 32-14 at 8:19. All the momentum stayed with Princeton as the Tigers took a 47-25 advantage into halftime.
Led by a Happy layup, Princeton opened the second half with a 13-3 run and surged ahead, 60-28, with 16:25 remaining. The Tigers did not let up; with 11:32 remaining a three-pointer by freshman Jake Sussberg led an 8-0 run that gave Princeton a 76-35 advantage with 10:26 on the clock.
Sophomore Zio Kim made an impact down the stretch for Princeton, scoring on a layup with 2:02 left to play then drilling a three-pointer with 1:14 remaining. Princeton would go on to earn the 100-59 triumph over the Bloodhounds.

Sophomore CJ Happy led all scorers with 17 points on 8-for-13 shooting. He also added four rebounds along with a game and career-high three steals. Sophomore Malik Abdullahi finished with 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting, seven rebounds and three assists while junior Dalen Davis added 13 points 4-for-5 shooting, a game-high five assists and for rebounds."It was fun seeing all the guys get after it, have fun, play together and share the ball."
