PRINCETON - The Princeton Women's Basketball Team welcomes the Rice Owls to Jadwin Gym on Wednesday. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
All fans are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Tigers Fight Hunger Food Drive.
HARRY RICE - BASIC INFORMATION
• A strong third quarter pushed the No. 7/9 Maryland Terrapins over the Princeton Women's Basketball Team, 84-68, at the Xfinity Center on Sunday afternoon.
•In front by four, Maryland used a 20-8 run to stretch its advantage to 18, 56-38, with 2:25 to go in the third frame. Princeton closed the gap to 11 twice in the fourth stanza but could not inch any closer.
•Madison St. Rose led the Tigers with 20 points, adding four dimes. Olivia Hutcherson set a new career high with 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting, collecting eight rebounds and two steals.
•Fadima Tall was selected as the Ivy League Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. It's the first time that the 2025 Second-Team All-Ivy selection has earned that honor. She averaged 17.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game in the Tigers' two contests last week.
•The junior produced a career-high 21 points along with nine rebounds and five steals as Princeton rallied to defeat Villanova, 73-68 on Wednesday. She followed that with 13 points, 7 caroms and three swipes in the Tigers' loss to No. 7/9 Maryland on Sunday.
•Last week, Tall was named one of the Ann Meyers Drysdale USBWA National Players of the Week after producing her fourth career double-double with 16 points and a personal-best 14 rebounds along with two assists and two steals in the win over Georgia Tech.
•Tall and St. Rose lead the Tigers in scoring at 16.7 points per game while Tall paces Princeton in rebounding at 10.0 caroms per contest. Head coach Carla Berube's team has three averaging double figures in scoring (Olivia Hutcherson).
•The Tigers have been outscored by -27 in quarters one, two and three, but have outscored their opponents by 22 in the fourth quarter.
•The Rice Owls are 2-1 this season with victories over Houston and Middle Tennessee. The Owls have four players averaging double digits paced by Victoria Flores (12.3). Rice went to the AAC Championship Game last season.
ALLEN RICE - TOP RETURNERS
•The Tigers were voted as the No. 1 team in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, the league announced. They earned 163 voting points and 17 of the 21 first place votes. Columbia was second at 147 points and three first place tallies while Harvard nabbed 126 points and the final first place nod. Penn was fourth (106), followed by Brown (84), Dartmouth (46), Cornell (45) and Yale (39).
•Head coach Carla Berube's team returns four starters from last year's NCAA Tournament team in Ashley Chea (First-Team All-Ivy), Skye Belker (Second-Team All-Ivy), Tall (Second-Team All-Ivy) and Hutcherson.
•Also, returning is St. Rose, who was recently named to the 2026 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award Watchlist presented by the Her Hoops Stats.

STEVEN RICE - THE CLASS OF 2029
•The Tigers brought in two players for the Class of 2029 in Sarah Lessig and Grace O'Sullivan.
•Lessig, from Seattle, Wash., was Metro League MVP and Seattle Sports Star of the Year nominee as a senior captain. She also played baseball, softball and flag football.
•O'Sullivan, from Acton, Mass., earned three ISL All-League honors and was a two-time NEPSAC AA and NEPSAC Class B All-Star after securing over 1,200 points and 500 rebounds.

RODNEY RICE - THE COACHING STAFF
•The coaching staff for Princeton remains the same with head coach Carla Berube, associate head coach Lauren Gosselin, assistant coach/recruiting coordinator Lauren Dillon, assistant coach Jordan Edwards and Director of Basketball Operations Lilly Paro.
•In five playing seasons played under Berube, the Tigers have won four Ivy League championships, posting a 65-5 record against Ivy opponents during the regular season. Overall, the Tigers are 123-26 (.826) during Berube's time at Princeton.
•Each headline is an athlete whose last name is Rice, the name of the team that Princeton is playing.
