Drexel opened its season with three matches last weekend in the Pennsylvania State Classic, including an 8-0 win over No. 27 Franklin & Marshall, a 9-0 win over No. 28 Haverford, and a 9-0 loss to No. 3 Penn. Drexel will also host Stanford this weekend, with that match taking place on Friday afternoon. That match will open Stanford's season.
All three teams were in the Howe Cup draw at the 2025 CSA team championships. Drexel, seeded ninth, fell to Cornell in the round of 16. Stanford, seeded fourth, lost to Penn in the quarterfinals. Princeton's run ended in the semifinals against eventual national runner-up Harvard.
Princeton has won three in a row in the series against Drexel since a 6-3 loss in the CSA quarterfinals in 2022 in what was the only Tiger loss in the teams' 13 meetings since the series began during the 2012-13 season. Against Stanford, Princeton has won six in a row since the Cardinal's last series win, which came in the 2019 CSA third-place match. Princeton holds a 19-2 series lead against Stanford.
From its lineup in the 2025 CSA semifinal, Princeton returns six of its top eight, led by reigning CSA individual champion Zeina Zein in addition to fellow 2025 All-American Emma Trauber.
