PRINCETON, N.J. – Looking for yet another record-breaking weekend, the Princeton men's track and field program will split for a series of competitions on the road, with the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational and the BC Eagle Elite Invitational in Boston and the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas.

Last Time Out

Princeton last competed at the Penn Classic and the East Coast Invitational last weekend.
Jackson Clarke set a new program record in the 200m, running 20.86 to break the previous Princeton record of 21.02, set by Ibrahim Ayorinde '23 at 2022 Heps. His time set a new NCAA #21.
Harrison Witt set a new facility record and a new PR in the 800m with a time of 1:47.42. His time is a new second-best in the program record book.
Connor McCormick was just behind him in second with a new PR of 1:48.08, now third in school history, while Rodman, the current Princeton record holder in the 800m, set a new season best with a 1:48.58 finish.
The Tigers also earned a 1-2-3 sweep in the 400m as Xavier Donaldson took first with a time of 46.89 for a new season best and a new NCAA #45. Jonathan York and Karl Dietz were behind him with two PRs of 47.61 and 47.74.
At the East Coast Invitational down in Virginia Beach, Joe Licata threw 62' 1½"/18.94m in the shot put for fourth in the event. Casey Helm took seventh with a mark of 59' 8¾"/18.21m. Asher Robbins took seventh in the weight throw, throwing 60' 4¾"/18.41m.

Tigers on the NCAA Qualifying List

Greg Foster currently ranks eighth nationally in the long jump with a mark of 7.83m/25' 8.25", set at the Navy Dual on January 11th.
Philip Kastner is at 17th in the heptathlon with a score of 5672, set at the Quaker Invitational on January 18th.
Joe Licata is at 18th in the shot put after throwing 19.18m/62' 11.25" at the Navy Dual. Casey Helm is behind him at 49th with a mark of 18.37m/60' 3.25", set at the Penn 10 Elite.
The Gant, Dietz, Clarke, Donaldson 4x400 performance at the Penn 10 Elite is now ranked 32nd nationally.
Witt and McCormick are at 35th and 38th in the mile.
Witt is also at 23rd in the 800m, with McCormick and Rodman behind him in 34th and 45th based on their performances at the Penn Classic.
Princeton was ranked 2nd in the Mid-Atlantic and first in the Ivy League in the latest USTFCCCA Regional Polls, behind only Penn State.

About the Tiger Coaches

Head Coach Jason Vigilante is in his second season at the helm of the program and 13th season overall at Princeton. The 2023-24 Ivy Coach of the Year, who also picked up Coaching Staff of the Year honors during the cross country season this fall, will look to coach the Tigers to their sixth Triple Crown during his tenure.
The Tigers are also joined by new assistant coaches Marshall Faurot and Duke Taylor, who specialize in jumps, multis and throws.
