Witt Smashes Ivy League Mile Record as Tigers Compete in Boston, Fayetteville

BOSTON, M.A. – WIth Harrison Witt smashing his own Ivy League record in the mile by four seconds, the Princeton men's track and field team competed at the BU Valentine Invitational and the BC Eagle Elite Invitational in Boston on Friday. The Tigers also began competition at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
At the BU Valentine Invite, Witt ran a blazing 3:52.87 in the mile, crushing his own Ivy League and Princeton record of 3:56.12 set just weeks ago at the Penn 10 Elite meet. His time currently ranks 10th in the NCAA.
Connor McCormick also bested his own second-best time in Princeton history with a new personal best of 3:56.40. Collin Boler also ran a sub-four mile for the first time in his career, running 3:59.07.
At the Eagle Elite, Seb Clatworthy won the high jump with a mark of 2.07/6-9.50. John Hogan and Caden Simmons tied for third with a mark of 1.92/6-3.50 in the event.
Nick Molloy also won the pole vault, jumping 4.91/16-1.25. Jacob Emerson took second with 4.76/15-7.25.
Easton Tan ran 7.98 in the 60mH finals to take third in the event. Yuki Hojo was just behind him, running 8.33 for seventh.
Paul Kuhner set a new personal record in the 60m, running 7.03 for 12th in the event. He also took 13th in the 200m, running 21.99.
Kavon Miller took seventh in the 400, running 48.28.
On day one of the Tyson Invitational, Jon York took fourth in the 400 with a new personal best time of 47.46. In the 400 invitational, Xavier Donaldson took 20th with a time of 47.05.
Greg Foster also took seventh in the long jump with a mark of 7.80/25-7.25.
