
Xaivian Lee Named Unanimous First Team All-Ivy, Caden Pierce Second Team, Blake Peters Academic

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its postseason awards Wednesday afternoon and junior Xaivian Lee of the Princeton University men's basketball team was named unanimous First Team while junior Caden Pierce was named Second Team. Additionally, senior Blake Peters was named Academic All-Ivy League.
Lee, a three-time Ivy League Player of the Week in 2024-25 and a First Team selection in 2023-24, is one of three players in the nation to record more than one triple double this season and is one of six active players with multiple triple doubles. In Ivy play, Lee averaged 18.5 points-per-game, 6.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists, ranking second in assists, third in scoring and sixth in rebounding. Lee also ranked third in free throw percentage (86.0%), eighth in three-point field goals per-game (2.4) and ninth in three-point percentage (37.8%). Additionally, Lee made game-winning three-pointers against Dartmouth on Jan. 18 and Columbia on Jan. 20.
Lee tied his career-high of 33 points at Dartmouth on Jan. 18, shooting 12-for-19 from the field, 3-for-5 from three and 6-for-7 from three line while also tallying eight rebounds and four assists. He recorded his second career triple double on Mar. 8 against the University of Pennsylvania with 23 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds.
Pierce, who was named Ivy Player of the Week on Dec. 23, collects all-conference honors for the second time in his career as he was named First Team and Player of the Year in 2024 in addition to Rookie of the Year in 2023. In conference play, Pierce averaged 11.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists, with his rebound average ranking second in the conference. Against Columbia on Jan. 20, Pierce had a season-high 21 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. That came after a near triple double of 19 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists at Dartmouth on Jan. 18.
Peters, a SPIA major, is averaging 10.3 points and ranks fifth in the conference in three-point field goals-per-game (2.5), fifth in three-point percentage (39.6%) and ninth in steals (1.2). Peters became the seventh Princeton player to make 200 three-pointers on Mar. 8 in the Tigers' win over Penn and his 200 threes rank No. 7 in program history. His 78 three-pointers rank No. 7 on Princeton's all-time list.
The Tigers will be in action next at 11 a.m. on Mar. 15 in Providence, Rhode Island, in the Ivy League Tournament semifinals against Yale (20-7, 13-1).
