PRINCETON, N.J. – After winning the 2025 Indoor Ivy League Championship, the Princeton women's track and field team will begin the outdoor season in Philadelphia with the Penn Challenge on Saturday.
The Tigers enter Saturday after an exciting end to the indoor season that saw Princeton score in every event at Heps to win the program's first title since 2011 with seven individual champions and one relay. Georgina Scoot was named Most Outstanding Field Performer at the meet.
Following the victory up in Ithaca, Ivy Champion Mena Scatchard represented the Tigers in Virginia Beach as she competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Scatchard went on to become the national runner-up in the mile, winning silver with a time of 4:32.87.
At last year's Outdoor Heps, Princeton finished a narrow second to Penn. The Tigers scored the 6th highest point total in Ivy History and crushed the Princeton record for the most points at a Heps meet, scoring 184. Alexandra Kelly was honored as Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning the long jump and finishing second in the triple jump.
Five Tigers qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships last year, as Siniru Iheoma and Georgina Scoot earned All-American honors with Iheoma being named to the Second Team All-America in the discus and Scoot being named an honorable mention in the long jump.
With momentum building from a successful cross country season, an equally successful indoor season, and unfinished business from last year, Princeton will begin its outdoor season in neighboring Philadelphia.
