Women's Track and Field Begins Outdoor Season at Penn

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – The Princeton women's track and field team opened the outdoor seaosn on Saturday with the Penn Challenge in Philadelphia. The Tigers won two events, with several setting personal records.

Maisha Atkinson won the 100m dash with a time of 11.90, setting a new personal record in the event.

In her first collegiate outdoor meet, Jana Ter Wee also won the women's shot put with a throw of 13.20m/43-0.75".

Shantell Kwofie set a new personal best in the javelin, throwing 32.66m/107-02". Kwofie also took second in the 400 hurdles, clocking in at 1:03.52.

Also in the 400 hurdles, Lily Parris was just behind Kwofie with a time of 1:04.81 to take third place.

In the 4x400, a Princeton group of Adelaide Asante, Kwofie, Lauren Harris and Atkinson ran a time of 3:50.03 for first at the meet.
