No. 4 Heavyweight Rowing To Open 2025 Against No. 16 Georgetown, No. 18 La Salle & No. 24 Temple

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 4 Princeton University heavyweight rowing team will officially open its 2025 season at Lake Carnegie on Mar. 29 when it hosts No. 16 Georgetown, No. 18 La Salle and No. 24 Temple.
The Tigers are coming off a successful 2024 season where they finished second in the Ten Eyck Standings at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships. Princeton's second-place finish was the highest mark for the team since 2016 and was the best score among all East Coast schools, trailing only Washington. They have climbed from eighth in 2022 to fourth in 2023 to second in 2024.
Joining a group of returners in 2025 is nine freshmen: Dan Cashman, Matt Cashman, Nate Fineman, Luke Grippo, Lucas Liow, Andrew Nolan, Alex Perkins, Tom Pirenc and Cy Rosenberg.
Schedule
8 a.m. – First Varsity
8:10 a.m. – Third Varsity
8:30 a.m. – Second Varsity
8:30 a.m. – Fourth/Fifth Varsity
All of the crews will remain on the water following their 2K to line up for one shorter piece. The Heavies will head back out onto the racecourse for a second round of shorter pieces that will start around 11:30 a.m.
