PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's track and field team will travel to Charlottesville for the Virginia Challenge on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.
Chris Paige set a new personal record in the 400 hurdles, running 50.81 for fourth place. His time puts him at third all-time in the Princeton records. His time now ranks 21st in the nation.
Nick Molloy also set a personal best in the pole vault, clearing 5.15m/16-10.75" for second place at the meet.
On day two, a pair of Tigers set new personal records in the shot put with Joe Licata taking fourth place overall with a mark of 18.94m/62-1.75 and Casey Helm taking ninth by throwing 18.22m/59-9.5".
Kavon Miller also set a new personal record in the 400, clocking in at 46.81 for 10th place.
A Princeton squad of Jon York, Joey Gant, Karl Dietz and Xavier Donaldson took fourth in the 4x400 relay, with the squad clocking in at 3:07.11. The time puts them at fourth all-time in the school record book.
On the NCAA qualifying list, Greg Foster ranks fifth with his mark of 7.84m/25' 8.75" from the Sam Howell Invitational.
Jackson Shorten ranks 14th nationally in the 3000 steeplechase with his Sam Howell time of 8:40.45.
Helm currently ranks eighth on the NCAA qualifying list in the discus with a mark of 61.67m/202' 4". Seb Clatworthy also holds 20th in the high jump after clearing 2.15m/7' 0.5" at the Monmouth Season Opener.
Princeton is entering the outdoor season after winning its 10th-consecutive indoor and fourth-consecutive cross country title, looking to complete the Triple Crown this Spring.
At last year's Outdoor Heps, the Tigers achieved their 11th all-time Triple Crown at home in Weaver Stadium, winning Ivy Outdoor Heps for the 22nd time after compiling 204.5 points. The Triple Crown was also the first under Head Coach Jason Vigilante.
