Men's Track and Field Shines at Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. – With the Tigers posting a strong team-wide performance, the Princeton men's track and field team competed at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, Greg Foster won the long jump with a new personal best mark of 8.11m/26-7.25" (+4.1). His mark currently ranks second in the nation.
Joe Licata took second in the shot put, throwing 18.91m/62-0.5" - just 3cm off his all-time best.
Brian Boler took eighth in the 3000 steeple, clocking in at 9:05.48.
Jadon Spain won the 100 dash with a time of 10.27, after running a season-best 10.22 in the prelims.
Harrison Witt took second in the 1500 invite, clocking in with a personal-best time of 3:40.03. Connor McCormick was just behind him at 3:41.31 for fourth.
Myles Hogan had a podium finish in the 5000, running a personal best 13:37.56 for third at the meet and third all-time in the Princeton record book. Nicholas Bendtsen took fifth with a time of 13:53.73.
On Saturday, Foster had a day again, clocking in at 13.83 in the 110 hurdles for a new personal record and second place.
A trio of Tigers had strong performances in the 400, as Joey Gant (46.80), Xavier Donaldson (47.07) and Karl Dietz (47.08) took seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively.
Jackson Clarke took third in the 200, clocking in at 21.00.

Princeton will split up for two meets closer to home next weekend with the Penn Relays and the TCNJ Lions Invitational on April 25 & 26.
