PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton women's track and field team will compete in two meets this weekend with the group splitting for Penn Relays in Philadelphia, and the TCNJ Lions Invite in Ewing, N.J.
Last weekend, the Tigers competed at the Virginia Challenge and the Wake Forest Invitational.
Tessa Mudd broke her Ivy League pole vault record for the second-consecutive week, clearing 4.40m/14-5¼" to win the event. Her mark is a 2cm improvement from her performance at the 44 Farms Team Invite, and it now ranks 12th nationally.
Georgina Scoot tied her own school record in the long jump, jumping an impressive 6.49m/21-3½ to match her 2024 mark. Her mark ranks eighth nationally.
Layla Giordano set a new personal best and jumped to third all-time in the Princeton record books in the discus with a throw of 55.16m/181-0".
On the NCAA qualifying list, Scoot also holds eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.35m/43' 9.75", which she cleared at Texas A&M.
Shea Greene sits at 14th nationally in the javelin with a throw of 54.22m/177' 11".
Princeton enters the outdoor season looking to complete the Triple Crown after winning the Ivy Cross Country Championship this Fall and winning the Ivy Indoor title this winter. The titles marked the program's first since 2015 in cross country, and first since 2011 for indoors.
