
Women's Lightweight Rowing Wins Sixth Straight Class Of 1999 Cup Over Radcliffe

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team won a sixth straight Class of 1999 Cup against Radcliffe to open its 2025 season Saturday morning at the Charles River.
Additionally, the Tigers improved their lead in the all-time series to 19-6.
"This is the oldest cup race in women's lightweight rowing, and we are proud to have won it in difficult conditions," said Head Coach Paul Rassam. "We look forward to getting back to training and working hard to get faster."
The 8+ crossed the finish line in 6:29.8 to earn the victory over Radcliffe, who finished in 6:42.9. The Tigers' A boat also picked up the win in the 4+ with a time of 7:32.5 to Radcliffe's 8:13.3. Princeton's B boat came in fourth in 8:18.7. Due to a broken oar, the Tigers' 2x did not finish.

The Tigers host Stanford at 9 a.m. at Lake Carnegie on Apr. 12. Princeton and the Cardinal will race for the Class of 2015 Cup.
