PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team will face Stanford for the Class of 2015 Cup on Apr. 12 at Lake Carnegie.
Most recently, the Tigers won a sixth straight Class of 1999 Cup against Radcliffe on Apr. 5 at the Charles River in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The 8+ crossed the finish line in 6:29.8 to earn the victory over Radcliffe, who finished in 6:42.9. The Tigers' A boat also picked up the win in the 4+ with a time of 7:32.5 to Radcliffe's 8:13.3. Princeton's B boat came in fourth in 8:18.7. Due to a broken oar, the Tigers' 2x did not finish.
Last time they met, the Tigers corralled the Class of 2015 Cup with a victory over the Cardinal in Redwoods City, California, on Apr. 13, 2024. The 1V finished 6.48 seconds ahead of Stanford, finishing in 6:43.67. The 2x (7:58.8) finished 1.8 seconds ahead of the Cardinal (8:00.67), while Stanford's 4+ picked up the win, crossing the line at 7:37.4 the line nine seconds ahead of Princeton (7:46.5).
