PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's track and field team will return to Weaver Stadium as it hosts its annual Larry Ellis Invitational on May 2nd and 3rd.
Last weekend, Princeton competed at the Penn Relays and the TCNJ Lions Invite.Â

At the Penn Relays, Casey Helm broke the school record in the discus, throwing an impressive 63.37m/207-11" for gold in the college men's discus championship.Â
Â
His mark smashed the previous record of 205-11/62.77, set in 2022 by Robbie Otal.Â
Â
Helm now ranks fifth nationally in the event.
Â
In the shot put, Joe Licata claimed second with a throw of 19.24m/63-1.5". The mark puts him third all-time in the Princeton record books and 20th on the NCAA qualifying list.

At TCNJ, Isa Hitchens won the 400, running a new personal-best time of 48.01.Â
Also on the NCAA qualifying list, Greg Foster holds third in the long jump with his Virginia Challenge mark of 8.10m/26' 7".Â

Princeton is entering the outdoor season after winning its 10th-consecutive indoor and fourth-consecutive cross country title, looking to complete the Triple Crown this Spring.Â

At last year's Outdoor Heps, the Tigers achieved their 11th all-time Triple Crown at home in Weaver Stadium, winning Ivy Outdoor Heps for the 22nd time after compiling 204.5 points. The Triple Crown was also the first under Head Coach Jason Vigilante.Â
