Scatchard Sets 800 Record as Tigers Host Princeton Elite

PRINCETON, N.J. – Mena Scatchard set a new program record in the 800m as the Tigers hosted the Princeton Elite on Saturday in Weaver Stadium.
Scatchard ran a smoking 2:00.81 to break the previous record of 2:02.62, set by Cecilia Barowski in 2016. The mark is an improvement from Scatchard's fourth all-time personal best of 2:03.57.
The record marks Scatchard's seventh Princeton record held across indoor and outdoor seasons, as the senior also ranks first in the 5000m, 1500m, 3000m, mile, 4x800 relay and distance medley relay.
Also highlighting the day, Angela McAuslan-Kelly set a huge PR in the hammer, throwing 65.65m/215-4" to improve from her previous best of 212-6/64.78. The sophomore ranks second all-time in the Princeton record books.
Georgina Scoot won the triple jump with a mark of 13.03m/42-9". Scoot, competing in the 100 for the first time in her collegiate career, qualified for the finals to take fourth with a time of 12.18.
Shantell Kwofie threw 14.48m/47-6.25" in the shot put to take second overall.
Lucca Fulkerson took third in the steeplechase with a time of 10:18.18.
