
Women's Track and Field Sends 16 to NCAA East First Round

PRINCETON, N.J. – After completing its historic third Triple Crown, the Princeton women's track and field team will send 16 Tigers to Jacksonville, Fla. for the NCAA East First Round May 28-31.
16 Tigers will compete across 11 events as they seek to punch their tickets to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. in several weeks.
The selections continue an already outstanding season for Princeton, as the program is coming off its 10th all-time Ivy Outdoor Heps Championship win to complete the Triple Crown.
The Tigers have set new program records in six events this season, with 37 more performances making the all-time top-10 lists.
At Outdoor Heps, the Tigers boasted six individual championships and one relay win in the 4x800. Georgina Scoot won the long jump and the triple jump, while Shea Greene claimed the javelin title and Siniru Iheoma won the shot put. Mena Scatchard won the 1500, and Julia Jongejeugd won the heptathlon.
Scoot, the Ivy League Most Outstanding Field Performer and Princeton record holder in both events, ranks fourth regionally in the long jump and the triple jump. Alexandra Kelly is behind her at 14th in the long jump.
Shea Greene ranks fifth in the East in the javelin with her throw of 54.22m/177' 11".
Tessa Mudd holds eighth in the region in the pole vault after setting a new program record in the event with a mark of 4.40m/14' 5.25" at the Virginia Challenge.
Angela McAuslan-Kelly also ranks eighth in the hammer throw with her PR of 65.65m/215' 5".
Scatchard ranks 14th nationally in the 1500m with a time of 4:11.56, as the Princeton record holder in the event and 2025 All-American in the indoor mile looks to punch a ticket to Eugene.
Rounding out the region's top-20, Hannah Riggins ranks 19th in the 800m while Niki Woods holds 20th in the javelin.
Looking to extend the season further, the Tigers will head to Florida ready to compete for their places in Eugene in just a few weeks.
