JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Shea Greene and Georgina Scoot punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships in Eugene as the Tigers began competition at the NCAA East First Round on Thursday.
Greene set a new Ivy League record in the javelin, throwing an impressive new personal best 56.91m/186-8" to take second overall and secure her place in the national championships at Eugene.
It will mark her second trip to NCAAs after taking 16th at last year's outdoor NCAA Championships.
Also looking to return to Eugene for the second time, Scoot punched her ticket in the long jump with a mark of 6.32m/20-9" for sixth place overall. The 2025 Ivy League Most Outstanding Field Performer and Ivy champion will continue what has already been an impressive season for the junior. Before packing for Oregon, however, Scoot will first look to compete again in the triple jump on Saturday.
Looking ahead to Saturday's quarterfinals, Mena Scatchard and Hannah Riggins will compete after advancing in the first rounds of the 1500m and 800m on Thursday.
Scatchard, clocking in at 4:14.66, took fourth place in her heat to automatically advance to Saturday. Riggins, clocking in at a new outdoor best 2:02.95, took third in her heat to qualify for Saturday's quarterfinal.
