PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 5 Princeton heavyweight rowing team will race at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championships at the Cooper River in Camden, New Jersey, from June 30 – May 30.
The Tigers enter the IRA National Championships with the 1V ranked No. 5 in the nation and the 2V No. 4. Princeton also enters IRAs on the heels of Eastern Sprints which took place in Worcester, Massachusetts, on May 18, which saw the Tigers finish second in the team point standings behind Harvard. The 2V and 3V won silver while the 1V and 5V won bronze.
Last Time At The IRA National Championships
Princeton finished second in the Ten Eyck Standings at the 2024 IRA National Championships that took place in West Windsor, New Jersey. The Tigers' second-place finish with 266 points was the highest mark for the team since 2016 and was the best score among all East Coast schools, trailing only Washington, who had 288 points. The Tigers climbed from eighth in 2022 to fourth in 2023 to second in 2024 and totaled 266 points.
