PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 1 Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team will aim to a win a fourth consecutive Commissioner's Cup at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championships at the Cooper River in Camden, New Jersey, from June 30 – May 1.
The Tigers enter IRAs ranked No. 1 in the 8+, No. 1 in the 4+ and No. 2 in the 2x. Most recently, Princeton won the Team Points Trophy at Eastern Sprints on May 4 in Worcester, Massachusetts, and collected gold in the 8+ and 4+ along with silver in the 2x.
Last Time At The IRA National Championships
Princeton won a fourth straight Commissioner's Cup at Mercer Lake at the 2024 IRA National Championships in West Windsor, New Jersey, finishing with 67 points. The Tigers edged Stanford, who had 66. Sitting third with only the first varsity Grand Final remaining, Princeton led through to collect its fourth straight 1V gold medal and rise to the top of the team point standings. The 2x won silver while the 4+ won bronze.
