
No. 7 Heavyweight Rowing Wins Content Cup Over No. 4 Brown, Sets New Course Best Time

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 7 Princeton University heavyweight rowing team ended regular season competition on a high note Saturday at Lake Carnegie, winning the Content Cup over No. 4 Brown and setting a new course best time.
"I am extremely proud of the way our entire team raced today," said Head Coach Greg Hughes. "Traditionally, this late season racing against Brown is fierce on all levels and today was certainly no different. It was a great test for our team as we finish up our regular season racing and now shift gears towards Eastern Sprints and IRAs."
The 4V (5:47.7) also finished ahead of Brown (5:51.1) in the second race of the morning.
The 2V (5:38.2) fell just short to the Bears (5:34.1), while the 3V (5:38.6) also finished just behind Brown (5:35.2). In the morning's first race, the 5V (6:07.2) trailed the Bears (5:51.2).

In a back-and-forth battle that went down to the final moments, the 1V (5:20.8) edged the Bears (5:21.3) and set a new Lake Carnegie best time. The previous best time at Lake Carnegie was 5:25.3, set by Harvard in 2019. In addition, 5:20.8 stands as the fastest time this season.NEW COURSE BEST. ??
