Women's Cross Country Dominates at Iona Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions

PRINCETON, N.J. – With Meg Madison clearing the finish line first by fifteen seconds, the Princeton women's cross country team dominated the Iona Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions on Friday, winning first place with a near-perfect score of 19.
The Tigers had six of the seven top finishers, with Madison finishing in first place for the second-consecutive time this season. She clocked in at 17:32.40 to best second-place Rory Clare of Columbia by nearly 15 seconds.
Hannah Riggins was next across the line for Princeton with a time of 17:55.00, with first-years Abigail Errington and Caroline Barton rounding out the Tiger scorers at 17:59.50 and 17:59.90, respectively.
Anna McNatt and Kyah Anderson secured sixth and seventh as the Tiger pushers, kicking out two more Columbia runners with marks of 18:03.20 and 18:05.00.
Tallying a strong, early-season victory at the course that will be home to this Fall's Ivy Cross Country Heptagonal Championships, the Tigers will look to build on this momentum before they return to Van Cortlandt in late October.
