Princeton's defense shined on the next possession as Connor Cronin forced a fumble that Marco Scarano scooped up. Three plays later, Blaine Hipa took a keeper four yards to paydirt to make it 21-7.
A few possessions later, Torian Roberts made a house call to stretch the road squad's advantage to 21, 28-7.

Lafayette got a 1-yard touchdown right before the end of the first half to set the contest at 28-14.
Esteban Nunez Perez's 26-yard field goal was the only scoring of the third frame.
The home team cut the deficit to 10, 31-21, on a three-yard touchdown by Jakyre Henley. After a road unit punt, Lafayette was driving before Roberts forced a fumble that Kyler Ronquillo picked up.
Princeton responded with a 14-play, 54-yard drive that ate up over seven minutes. The Tigers had three third down conversions before this fourth down touchdown put the game away …

Lafayette registered a touchdown with 38 seconds to go to finish the scoring.
Jackson Green caught all five of his targets for 64 yards. 10 different Tigers caught a pass including Charlie Kaludis making his first career reception on a big third down to extend Princeton's final touchdown drive.
Chase Christopher had a career-high 14 tackles while Roberts contributed five stops with the pick and forced fumble. With the win, Bob Surace reached the 100 career win milestone (82 at Princeton, 18 at Western Connecticut).
Princeton improves to 1-1 overall while Lafayette dropped to 3-2 this season. The Tigers welcome Columbia to Princeton Stadium next Friday in a game that will be televised on ESPNU. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
