No. 15 Women's Water Polo Begins 2026 Campaign At LIU Wednesday

PRINCETON – The No. 15 Princeton Women's Water Polo Team begins its 2026 campaign Wednesday at the LIU Sharks. The contest is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Princeton is led by its three senior captains in Lindsey Lucas, Shanna Davidson and Ava Houlahan. Lucas was an Honorable Mention All-American for the third consecutive year last season after posting a 17-7 record with a .551 save percentage and 238 stops. Davidson was All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2025 after producing 38 goals and 37 assists. Houlahan nabbed First-Team All-Conference, adding 41 goals, 26 assists and 34 steals.
Other returners include Emese Batizi who registered 26 tallies and 25 dimes last year along with Olivia Krotts (25 goals and 17 assists), Ally Lurie (19 goals, 16 assists), Charlotte Riches (18 goals and 34 drawn ejections), Kendall Wyer (15 goals and 22 assists), Hadley Harbilas (7 goals, 14 assists) and Margaret Brandin (five goals and four assists).
CJ Weigel backs up Lucas in goal and she has a .613 save percentage in 17 career contests.
The freshman group features Sophie Bollyky Purcell, Katie McCullough, Didi Evans, Abby Folk and Vivian Golub.
Princeton has never lost to LIU in six contests all-time. The Tigers finished the 2025 campaign at 21-7 overall with 10 victories over ranked opponents.
