York, Donaldson, Clarke and Gant Set New Ivy 4x400 Record at Tyson Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – With a squad of Jon York, Xavier Donaldson, Jackson Clarke and Joey Gant setting a new Ivy League record in the 4x400, the Tigers closed out competition at the Tyson Invitational on Saturday in Fayetteville.
York, Donaldson, Clarke and Gant ran a blazing 3:03.56 in the 4x400, crushing the Ivy record of 3:05.92, set by Harvard in 2022. The mark currently ranks 10th in the NCAA, with five of the top-10 times set today at Arkansas. The Tigers took fifth at the event.
For York, Gant and Donaldson, the performance bested their own Princeton school record in the event after running 3:07.16 at last year's Tyson Invite.
Clarke ran the fastest split of the heat, completing his leg in just 45.40.
The 4x400 squad's success marks the second Ivy record set by the Tigers this weekend, as Greg Foster set a new Ivy League record in the long jump yesterday. Jumping a new personal best 8.19m / 26-10.5", Foster bested his own previous record of 8.07m set earlier this season. He currently ranks second in the NCAA.
Also in the field events, Joe Licata took fifth place in the shot put, throwing 19.31m / 63-4¼ with a strong performance. Casey Helm took 10th with a throw of 17.93m / 58-10.
Back east in Boston, part of the Tiger squad also competed at the Crimson Open.
Robert Ruffini won the long jump with a mark of 7.16m / 23-5.9".
Kavon Miller won the 400m with a time of 47.94.
In the 60m, Jadon Spain claimed victory with a time of 6.69 - just .01 seconds off from his personal best. Charlie Sexton also ran 6.68 in the prelims, setting a huge PR and bumping him to tie for third in the all-time Princeton record book.
Easton Tan ran 7.88 in the 60mH prelims, just .01 off from his personal best. In the finals, he ran 7.97 for fourth.
In the 1000m, Cooper Austen took second with a time of 2:26.63. Isa Hitchens took second in the 500m, running 1:03.33.
