Payne Sets New 60mH Record as Tigers Have Strong Showing at Crimson Open
February 14, 2026 | Women's Track and Field
CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – Highlighted by Laila Payne setting a new program record in the 60m hurdles, the Princeton women's track and field team put on an impressive team performance at the Crimson Open on Friday in Cambridge, Mass.
First-year Payne etched her name into the Princeton record book by running a blazing 8.33 in the 60mH. Her time bested the previous Princeton record of 8.41, set last year by Adelaide Asante.
In the weight throw, Angela McAuslan-Kelly continued her unbeaten streak and set a huge PR, throwing 20.25m / 66-5 ¼". It is just her second time throwing over 20m, and the first since last year's indoor Heps when she threw 20.21m. Ranking second in school history with that mark, McAuslan-Kelly's performance today bests her own second-best all-time mark in the Princeton record book. Her mark also ranks 30th in the NCAA currently.
Alexandra Kelly had another strong performance in the long jump, clearing 6.44m / 21-1 ½". She came just shy of her personal and Princeton record of 6.50m, set at this year's Navy dual in January.
Fellow jumper Georgina Scoot set a new PR in the event, jumping 6.31m / 20-8 ½. The mark puts her just behind Kelly in the Princeton record book.
Tessa Mudd won the pole vault, clearing 4.18m / 13-8 ½". Another high-flying Tiger, Alysa Carrigan also won the high jump with a mark of 1.78m / 5-10".
Olivia Martin picked up a win in the mile with a time of 4:45.17.
