Jaffe, Coaching Staff Earn Major Awards as Women's Squash Hauls In All-Ivy Honors

Alex Jaffe was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and the coaching staff was named the Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year as four Tigers earned athletic All-Ivy League honors when the Ivy League office announced the annual women's squash honorees on Thursday.
Jaffe, who has posted a 10-1 record in dual meets this season while playing primarily at second position, is the 10th Ivy League Rookie of the Year in program history and is the seventh Tiger to win the award in the last 12 times it has been awarded. Jaffe is one of two current Tigers to win the honor, which comes two years after Zeina Zein was named Ivy Rookie of the Year. Jaffe made the CSA Ramsay Cup individual national championship semifinals before a loss to Zein, who went on to win the title.
The coaching staff, including head coach Gail Ramsay and assistant coaches Min Jie Teh and Graeme Williams, earned the program's first Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year honor since the award was inaugurated in 2015. This season, Ramsay and the staff helped lead Princeton to its first Ivy League title since 2013, completing a 6-0 sweep through the league including a toppling of No. 1 Harvard that led Princeton to become the No. 1-ranked team in the nation heading into this weekend's Ivy League Tournament.
Jaffe is joined by juniors Zein and Emma Trauber on the Ivy League's first team. Around her second straight CSA individual national title, Zein has posted a 9-2 record in dual-match play, entirely at first position, and Trauber, who won the consolation flight at the CSA individual championships, has gone 10-2 in duals this season, playing primarily at third position. It's the third straight All-Ivy honor in as many years with the program for both Zein and Trauber.
Senior Charlotte Bell was a second-team All-Ivy honoree, earning her first career All-Ivy honor after posting an 8-4 dual-match record, playing primarily at fourth position while also making the consolation semifinals at the CSA individuals.
Trauber, an economics major, was also named the program's Academic All-Ivy League honoree.
The Tigers will host the Ivy League Tournament this weekend at the Racquet and Recreation Fieldhouse, starting with fourth-seeded Cornell in a 3:30 p.m. semifinal on Saturday.
