This marks the first series played between both schools.
The Tigers enter the weekend with momentum after securing a win against Winthrop. In their third victory of the season, the Tigers delivered a strong offensive performance, scoring 10 runs.
Following the last series, Grant Werdesheim leads the team with a .300 batting average. Jake Koonin leads the Tigers in runs scored with six and also tops the team in hits with 12.
On the mound, James Beasley has been a standout. He earned his first win of the season and currently leads the pitching staff with a 0.82 ERA.
Four of the Tigers' graduated seniors kept busy in the off season, earning professional contracts: After completing a graduate year at Wake Forest, Matt Scannell signed with the Blue Jays, Jake Bold as a junior signed with the Padres, Caden Shapiro with the Pirates, while Sean Episcope, also a junior, was selected in the draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.
