Princeton Drops First Game Of Series to Wofford, 12-1

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - On their last stop of the Spring Break road trip, the Tigers fall 12-1 to the Wofford Terriers.
The Terriers opened up scoring in the game with two runs in the first inning.
In the second inning, Will Robbins scored with a home run, his second of the season, chipping away at the deficit for the Tigers.
Wofford's strong pitching and defense limited the Tigers to just one single run. The Terriers continued to put up 10 unanswered runs between the third and sixth innings.
Will Sword started on the mound for the Tigers, allowing six runs and striking out three. Parker Codin took to the mound later in the game, also allowing 6 runs and earning one strikeout. Jackson Baldrate was sent to the mound to close out the game, not allowing any hits or runs.
The Tigers resume play tomorrow against Wofford in a doubleheader, with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. followed by the second game at 4 p.m.
