Princeton Baseball Sweeps Doubleheader Against Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Princeton baseball swept their Saturday doubleheader against the Wofford Terriers on Saturday.
Princeton 3, Wofford 0
Princeton opened up scoring at the top of the fifth inning with a three spot.
Jake Koonin put up the first run on the board with an RBI, sending Bennett Crerar across the plate. Brady Kaufman followed with an run-producing single with Tomas Cernius coming around to score. Isaac Lamson put up the final run with an RBI groundout.
Justin Kim had a tremendous seven-inning outing, allowing just three hits and earning two strikeouts.
Princeton 6, Wofford 5
In the third inning, Princeton opened up the scoring with Crerar reaching first base on an error by Wofford's defense, allowing Jake Kernodle to cross the plate, taking the 1-0 lead.
Wofford responded, putting up five runs continued to put up five runs between the fifth and sixth innings.
The Tigers answered back in the seventh inning with RBI singles from Grant Werdesheim and Crerar.Cernius's RBI knock got the Tigers within one before Will Robbins followed with a RBI hit to tie the game at 5-all. A Wofford error put Princeton ahead in the 11th.
Wofford put a runner on third base with two outs, but Kasey Gilman got a strikeout to end the contest and earn the save.
Liam Kinneen started on the mound for the Tigers, striking out six over five innings.
The Tigers play their final game of the Spring Break trip Sunday against Wofford with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
