PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's track and field team will send eight Tigers to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend in Fayetteville, Ark.Â
Four individuals and a 4x400 relay squad will represent Princeton, with Connor McCormick competing in the mile, Myles Hogan competing in the 5000m, Joe Licata competing in the shot put, and Greg Foster competing in the long jump.Â
The 4x400 team will be composed of four members from the group of Jonathan York, Xavier Donaldson, Jackson Clarke, Joey Gant, Kavon Miller, Isa Hitchens, Karl Dietz and Jaylen Bennett.Â
Princeton is coming off an 11th-straight Ivy League Indoor Championship win at Heps on Mar. 1. Foster set two Ivy League records in the long jump and the 60m hurdles. He won the Ivy title in both events. Licata also won the shot put, McCormick won the mile and Jonathan York won the 500.Â
Foster is seeded second in the nation in the long jump after setting his third PR and Ivy League record of the season this weekend with a mark of 8.24m. His mark ranks seventh in the world.
Licata's new personal-best and Ivy-title winning mark of 19.71 is seeded 11th in the shot put. Â
Hogan's program-record 13:21.57 time in the 5000m has him seeded 14th going into nationals.Â
McCormick, seeded 16th, qualified for nationals with his time of 3:54.35.Â
Making some noise this season, a men's 4x400 squad of York, Donaldson, Clarke and Gant ran a blazing 3:03.56 at the Tyson Invitational, setting a new program record while seeding them 10th at NCAAs.Â
For Foster, this will mark a third trip to indoor NCAAs. McCormick was a member of last year's Tiger DMR squad at NCAAs. For all other competitors, this will be their first trip to indoor nationals.
The Tigers are led by Jason Vigilante, in his third year at the helm. Since being named the head coach, Vigilante has led the Tigers to two Triple Crowns. After capturing this year's indoor title, he and the Tiger staff were named Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year.
Last year, he was named the 2025 Outdoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, and the 2025 Indoor and Outdoor Ivy Coach of the Year.Â
