No. 6 Women's Open Rowing Begins Season vs. No. 7 Brown Saturday

PRINCETON – The No. 6 Princeton Women's Open Rowing Team will take on the No. 7 Brown Bears for the Class of 1987 Trophy at Lake Carnegie on Saturday.

The action gets underway at 9 a.m. with the 2V followed by the 1V at 9:15 a.m. The varsity four is at 9:30 a.m. with the 3V/4V event at 9:45 a.m. The B/C four event finishes the racing at 10 a.m.

"We're excited to start the season and continue building as a team," said Lori Dauphiny. "Racing Brown challenges us and is a great way to begin the year."

The 1V will race for the Class of 1987 Trophy, a trophy that Princeton has won seven consecutive years, dating back to 2017. Last year, Princeton won by 3.6 seconds (6:12.1), the program's 25th victory over Brown.

Princeton is coming off a season that saw the 1V win Ivy League gold for the eighth straight season. The Tigers' sixth place finish at NCAAs in the team standings marked the 10th top-ten finish for the program in the last 13 NCAA regattas.
