Princeton Takes 2-1 Series Win Against Columbia

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Princeton takes a 2-1 series win against Columbia after ending Sunday's game with a 4-2 win.
Columbia opened up scoring, putting up a run in the second inning, taking an early 1-0 lead.
The Tigers answered back later in the fourth by putting up three runs, taking a 3-1 lead. Bennett Cerar reached second base on an error by Columbia, allowing the Tigers to put up two runs. Crerar then reached home off of an RBI from Tommy Googins.
The Lions put up another run in the sixth, chipping away at the deficit 3-2.
Isaac Lamson extended the lead for the Tigers in the eighth with a single, extending the lead to 4-2, ultimately leading to the win.
Princeton's strikeout leader Justin Kim started on the mound for the Tigers in Sunday's game. In his six inning outing, he struck out nine batters while allowing just four hits and two runs.
The Tigers prepare to host Rider University in another midweek matchup on Wednesday, with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.
