Tigers Open Up Series With 8-6 Win Over Penn

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Tigers opened up their weekend series with an 8-6 win over Penn.
Penn opened up scoring in Friday's game, putting up a single run in the third inning, taking the early 1-0 lead.
The Tigers answered back in the fourth inning, putting up three runs off of a two run homer from Will Robbins and an RBI from Isaac Lamson, making it a 3-1 game.
While Penn continued to put up another run in the sixth inning, chipping away at the deficit and making it 3-2, Princeton quickly responded with another two run home run from Robbins, followed by an RBI from Grant Werdesheim.
With the 6-2 lead, the Tigers put up two more runs in the seventh inning, following a double RBI off of Bennett Crerar that resulted in an error by Penn.
Penn put up four more runs between the eighth and ninth innings, calling it a 8-6 ballgame.
In his five inning start on the mound, Elliott Eaton surrendered seven hits, two runs, and struck out four.
Charlie Wolf entered in the sixth, giving up two hits and one run with a pair of strikeouts.
Justin Kim handled the final two innings, allowing five hits and three runs while recording four strikeouts.
The Tigers have now won three in a row, two of them at home. Princeton wraps up the series tomorrow in a doubleheader with first pitch scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
