April 04, 2026 | Heavyweight Rowing
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The #5 Princeton University heavyweight rowing team retained the Navy-Princeton Cup Saturday, as the Tigers' 1V earned the win over the #12 Midshipmen on a day Princeton swept every race.
"Today's results were a full team effort. It took the hard work of every member of our team to achieve our success down on the Severn and it was fun to watch," said Head Coach Greg Hughes. "We all know we still have work to do but we're in solid position thanks to the progress we've made so far."
The 1V (5:56.2) crossed the finish line ahead of Navy (6:14.4), while the 2V (5:56.4) also prevailed over the Midshipmen (5:56.4).
The 3V race saw Princeton (6:05.3) get past Navy (6:27.0), while in the combined 4V/5V race, the Tigers' 4V (6:07.4) came in first, the 5V (6:14.7) second and the Midshipmen (6:31.1.)
